We offer a range of unique products that resist the effects of weather, heat and chemicals. Our main offerings are fluoropolymers, fluorinated resins for coatings, fluorinated elastomers, fluoropolymer films, noncrystalline fluorinated resins and optical filters for PDPs employing these resins, fluorinated gases and solvents, fluorinated water and oil repellents, and ion-exchange membranes.

Chlor-alkalis are basic chemicals that we produce in Japan, elsewhere in Asia and North America. Our main offerings in Japan are caustic soda, potassium hydroxide, potassium carbonate, chlorine and vinyl chloride monomer (VCM). Our main manufacturing bases elsewhere in Asia are P.T. Asahimas Chemical, in Indonesia, a producer of caustic soda, VCM and polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and THASCO Chemical Co., Ltd., in Thailand, which produces caustic soda, chlorine, potassium hydroxide and potassium carbonate. In North America, we make soda ash as a raw material for all types of glass.

Our prime urethane products are propylene oxide (PO), propylene glycol (PG) and polypropylene glycol (PPG). Other products in this category include pharmaceutical and agrochemical intermediates, cathode material for lithium ion batteries, fine silica for cosmetics and pharmaceutical production, and sodium bicarbonate, for which we hold the top market share in Japan.

The principal products in this category are iodine, the primary applications for which are agrochemicals, raw materials for paints and organic synthetic intermediates, and fiber-reinforced plastics, which are multipurpose industrial materials. Iodine is produced by Ise Chemicals Corp., while fiber-reinforced plastics are produced by Asahi Glass Matex Co., Ltd.
