AGC Engineering Establishes Distribution of its Sunsep product line of gas dryers and humidifiers in North America

Asahi Glass and Chemical Engineering Company (AGCE), a leading manufacturer of membrane-based equipment used in a variety of industrial applications, announced plans to expand distribution of its Sunsep product line of gas dryers and humidifiers into North America, starting in May 2009.

AGCE North America will base its logistic operations in Charlotte, NC, sharing space with Asahi Glass Chemical Corp. America (AGCCA).  Nobuyoshi Shoji, Managing Director of AGEC, stated “We are excited to establish a serious presence in North America for Sunsep.  Our gas dryers and humidifiers have wide acceptance throughout Asia; we intend to develop key relationships with prominent distributors and equipment manufacturers who stand to benefit greatly from our technology.”

Hideyuki Kurata, AGCCA’s President, said, “We look forward to assisting AGCE, as we are able to leverage our supply chain, sales distribution network and knowledge of the American marketplace.  There are many opportunities for their products here”.  AGCCA’s General Manager, Daisuke Fujimoto, will have overall responsibility for the sales and marketing efforts.  He added “Sunsep products have very significant business potential here.  The challenge will be to manage their growth.”

The Sunsep product lines of membrane dryers and humidifiers have applications in a number of industries, from pneumatic controls to gas analyzers and fuel cells.
