AGC Chemicals to Feature Environmentally Friendly Fluoropolymer Resins at the American Coatings Show
EXTON, Pa., April 2, 2018 – AGC Chemicals Americas Inc. will feature environmentally friendly LUMIFLON® FEVE resins for high-performance coatings systems at the 2018 American Coatings Show, booth 2936.
LUMIFLON water-based, solid and powder grades are used for the production of low-VOC coatings that do not require a solvent and are free from hazardous air pollutants (HAPS). They provide exceptional weatherability and corrosion resistance to industrial coatings.
"Our environmentally friendly LUMIFLON technology is rising in popularity for long-life coatings,” said Winn Darden, business manager at AGC Chemicals Americas. “AGC experts are helping coating manufacturers develop new formulations that provide the high-level performance of traditional FEVE resins, while reducing the environmental footprint."
Topcoats formulated with LUMIFLON resins offer outstanding gloss and color retention and protection from UV light, wind, rain and corrosion. LUMIFLON-based coatings ensure a longer life on building exteriors and facades, bridges, aircraft, automobiles, water towers and solar panels, resulting in less need for repainting and a substantial decrease in lifecycle costs.
