AMOLEA™ 1224yd is an ASHRAE A1 certified, non-flammable fourth-generation HFO refrigerant with no impact on ozone depletion and a GWP value under 1 for use as an alternative to HFCs. Its physical properties are similar to those of HFC-245fa, while achieving 99.9% less GWP and lower toxicity (LC50>213,100 ppm, AEL 1000 ppm).

Furthermore, it has good chemical/thermal stability and compatibility with most commonly used metals, plastics, and elastomers. It is ideal for use in centrifugal chillers, Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC, binary cycle) and waste heat recovery heat pumps.
