Asahi Glass Company Changes Name to AGC Inc.

EXTON, Pa., June 14, 2018 – After 110 years in business, Asahi Glass Company Ltd., will change its name to AGC Inc. effective July 1, 2018. This change consolidates all divisions of the company under the AGC name. AGC is the parent company of AGC Chemicals Americas Inc.

AGC’s business reaches more than 30 countries with regional pillars in Japan/Asia, Europe and North & South America. AGC’s key markets include glass, electronics and chemicals.

AGC Chemicals Americas manufactures, markets and sells fluoroproducts including Fluon^® fluoropolymer resins, film and compounds, AFLAS^® fluoroelastomers and AsahiKlin fluorinated solvents. The company also markets and sells specialty chemicals including LUMIFLON^® FEVE resins, AsahiGuard^® E-SERIES water and oil repellents, F-CLEAN^® greenhouse films, Solesphere^TM fine silica additives and various fluoro intermediates.
